You can check the Parents by clicking on the Parent Module from the main navigation panel of the Flavor EduPortal. The Parent Module is provided under the “Customers” section in the navigation panel.

By clicking on the “Parent”, from the left menu you will be redirected to the Parents page where you will see the listing of all Parents in the grid view.

Parent Options

Search

 By clicking on the Search Icon, you can search the specific Parent’s record by entering the Parent, Student, Student No., Email & Parent no. 

Settings

  • By clicking on the Settings icon, you will be redirected to Studnet’s Setting Page. 
  • Setting page will be open after clicking on the Settings Option. Here, you will see General Settings, Relationship Status & Field Settings.

General Settings

Navigate to the General Settings. You can see the various option to customise. 

  • Custom module names for parent: By enabling the switch, you will see a Label Box. You can change the label from here, You can convert a Parent Label to a Guardian Label from here.
  • Enable Parent last name:  You can Enable the Parent last name label by enabling the switch.
  • Custom field name for Extra field 1: You can add anything in the extra field as per your requirements but first, you have to enable this field by switching.
  • Custom field name for Extra field parent 2: You can add an extra custom field for parents. It could be Parent 2 or anything. As well as you can show this field to the Parent Details by enabling the switch in Listing.
  • Custom field name for Extra Textarea 1: You can add notes as per your requirements. You can give custom labels to custom fields. As well as you can show this field to the Parent Details by enabling the switch in Listing.

Relationship Status

  • Navigate to Relationship Status. You can enable or disable this field by switching. Here, you can see the list of relations Father, Mother, Guardian, etc. 
  • The user should have mentioned this in the form that what will be the parent’s relationship with the student.
  • You can change the sequence of the status of the relationship by clicking on the drag & drop icon, also you can enable or disable the field by the switch.
  • Add another relationship status: By clicking on the “+ Add another option”, you can add more more relationships.

 

Field Settings

Navigate to the Field Settings.  

  • You can show the Relationship Status in form by enabling the switch. Here, you can see the list of relations.
  • You can enable & disable them by switching also you can change the sequence of relationships by clicking on the drag and drop icon.

  • You can also add more relationship status by clicking on the +Add Another Relationship Status & you can remove this status by clicking on the Cross (X) icon.

Export

To export, the data click on the Export Icon. After clicking on the Export icon,  a pop-up form will appear on your screen. 

  • Start Date and End Date: Select the time period in the start date and end date column for which time period’s data you need. 
  • Select Data to Export: Here, you can export the data of all rows or 15 rows by simply clicking on the dropdown.
  • Select Column to Export: Select columns which you need your data to export. Like if you want all the details of all parents, then simply click on “ALL DATA” and you will get all desired row’s information of selected parents in your exported file.
  • Export as: Then select a format in which you want to export your data i.e (EXCEL or CSV).
  • After selecting the relevant records/data, click on the Export Data button to export all parents data in the selected file (Excel/CSV).

Bulk Action Button

  • The Bulk Action Button is disabled by default. When you mark on the check box, which appears on the starting on each row, this action button will be enabled. You can select/deselect rows by marking or unmarking the checkboxes.

  • After the selection of any record or all records go to the Action Button, click on the button, a small popup named Delete will appear.
  • Click on the Delete Button to delete a single record or all records, you will see the confirmation popup to delete the record. 
  • Click on the Yes button to delete or if you don’t want to delete click on the Cancel button.

Broadcast

  • To send the Broadcast message to all parents, select all parents by marking on the check box, then navigate to the Broadcast button & click on the button.
  • A popup form name Send a Message will appear on your screen.
  • Type: Here, you can choose which type of message you want to send to all recipients, it could be Email, SMS or Notifications. You can select your desired type of message by marking it on the check box. 
  • Add Parent/Guardian: Here, the selected Parent/Guardian’s  email Id will get auto filled.
  • Title: You can enter the subject of the Mail in the Title field.
  • Message: Write a message in the message box.
  • Attachment: Attach some relevant attachments.
  • Click on the Send button to send.

Parent Records

Column Sorting

All parents will be shown in tabular format. You can sort the data by clicking on Column Sorting Arrows in Table’s Header.

Column Visibility

You can sort columns by clicking on the Ellipsis icon, you will get the pop-up form named Select Data to View. Mark the columns you want to see and unmark the ones you don’t want to see in the table. After this procedure click on the Apply Filter button.

Action Button

Click on Action Button (Vertical Ellipsis), a popup box will appear on your screen with Edit & SMS Options.

Email

Click on the Email button. A popup form named Send Email will open.

Here, you can see 3 fields.

  • Associated email id will automatically be shown in the To field.
  • Write subject in the Subject Field.
  • Write your message to the Message Box. 
  • Then click on the Send button to send the message.

SMS

Click on the SMS button, a popup form named Send SMS will open.

Here, you can see 2 fields:

  • The registered contact number will be automatically shown in the To field.
  • Write your message to the Message Box.
  • Then click on the Send button to send the message.

Parents Profile

Click on any record to check the details.  A Parent Profile will be open, here you can see the details. 

  • On the top left corner of the profile, you will see the communication options and edit profile options. 

Call Option

  • By clicking on the call option, you will get a popup named Call.
  • Here, you can see the contact no. of the parent in the To field & Extension no. in Extension Field.
  • Click on the Call button to make a call.

SMS Option

Click on the SMS icon, a popup form named Send SMS will open.

Here, you can see 2 fields: 

  • The registered contact number will be automatically shown in the To field.
  • Write your message to the Message Box.
  • Then click on the Send button to send the message.

Email

Click on the Email button. A popup form named Send Email will open. Here, you can see 3 fields.

  • Associated email id will automatically be shown in the To field.

  • Write your message to the Message Box. 
  • Then click on the Send button to send the message.

Edit Profile

  • Click on the Edit Profile button to edit the profile.
  • Here, you can add secondary email and phone no. & update the other information. 
  • Click on the Save button to save the updated details.

Relationship

Navigate to the In the relationship tab, You can check what is the parent’s relationship with the student.

Add Sibling

  • If a parent has more than one child you can add them by clicking on the +Add relation button.
  • After clicking a popup named Add Sibling will be open. Here, you can see 3 tabs. All, Enrolled & Trial, you can select the sibling from any tab.
  • Select a sibling by marking on the checkbox & then click on the Add Sibling button. 

Delete:

To delete a sibling. Click on the Delete Icon, after clicking on the icon a confirmation popup will appear. Click on the Delete button to delete the sibling.

Documents

Navigate to the Documents Tab. here, you can upload any files related to a parent & student. File types ould be PDF, CSV, JPEG & DOC files. 

Upload Document

Click on the Upload button to upload a file, a file selector window will be open. Click on the desired file to upload.
